Dr. Karthik Rao
Karthik Rao, a board certified emergency medicine physician, currently serves as clinical faculty at the Kettering Health Emergency Medicine Residency Program.
Raised in the Midwest, Karthik graduated from Centerville High School and earned his Bachelor of Science at The Ohio State University. After working in global public health for several years, he decided to pursue his medical degree at the Lake Eerie College of Medicine and returned to Dayton to complete his training at the Wright State University Boonshoft Emergency Medicine Residency. As a physician, Dr. Rao worked across the country from critical access hospitals to level-1 trauma centers from Washington to Colorado. In order to offer better the best clinical management he completed fellowship at Duke University in point of care ultrasound before returning to the Dayton area.
Dr. Rao’s medical career and personal journey in health and wellness has repeatedly shown the importance of mental health and emotional well being as a cornerstone of overall wellness. Consistently finding that the current state of healthcare to be falling short for the majority of patients, he is motivated to empower individuals to achieve the sense of well-being and peace we all seek in order to thrive.
