“Healing is a journey, not a destination. It requires courage to face the past and compassion to rebuild the future.” - Bessel van der Kolk, Author - The Body Keeps The Score
What Sets Our Therapy Apart
Trauma Informed Care:
We combine the latest advances in trauma informed care, ketamine-assisted therapy, lifestyle medicine, and evidence-based practices with proven psychotherapeutic approaches to address the root causes of suffering, not just the symptoms. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD/trauma, or simply seeking a more fulfilling life, our therapies are tailored to your unique needs.
"To heal, we must understand the deep longing to be heard, especially for those carrying the weight of unspoken trauma." Janina Fisher, Creator - Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST)
Nervous System Regulation Focused:
Many emotional and behavioral patterns are rooted in the sub-cortical regions of the brain-areas responsible for automatic responses, trauma, and deep-seated emotional memory. Our therapies target these layers directly, supporting rapid nervous system reset and emotional regulation, essential for restoring a sense of internal safety and resilience.
“The body keeps the score. Trauma is not just an event that happened long ago—it’s the imprint left by that experience on mind, brain, and body.” - Bessel van der Kolk, Author - The Body Keeps The Score
Mindfulness Centered:
Mindfulness is woven throughout our therapeutic process, helping you develop present-moment awareness, self-compassion, and the ability to respond rather than react to life’s challenges. Mindful integration after each session ensures insights become sustainable life changes.
“Mindfulness is a radical act of love-for ourselves and the world.” - Jon Kabat-Zinn, Creator - Stress Reduction Clinic
Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAP):
KAP combines ketamine’s rapid neuroplastic effects with live therapeutic support to break cycles of treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
- Preparation & Integration: Set intentions pre-session and translate breakthroughs into daily life.
- 70%+ Success Rate: Proven relief for those who’ve found no hope in traditional treatments.
“I call ketamine the open source code of psychedelics because it doesn’t have a very strong signature or agenda in and of itself. It has this interesting signature of pulling us out of the experience and into ‘observer mind,’ and it also has a signature of traveling. That combination is super interesting for therapy.” - Sunny Strasburg, Author - The Theradelic Approach: Psychedelic Therapy
Comprehensive, Personalized Treatment:
Every client receives a tailored plan that may include a blend of the following modalities, chosen to address your unique needs and goals.
“All our parts are sacred beings. Healing happens when we listen to them with compassion.” - Richard Schwartz, Creator - Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Ryan Chanatry, LPC
As a therapist and partner at New Life Wellness, I provide a highly personalized, collaborative, and lifestyle medicine approach to mental health treatment. My focus goes beyond symptom management, toward lasting healing and well-being.
My trauma-centered approach is humanistic, spiritual, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed. I integrate multiple evidence-based techniques in order to help release what is stuck, reset your nervous system, and restore a sense of security and purpose. These include somatic and sub-cortical methods such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), in addition to Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), parts work, and mindfulness.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Ohio and serve adults, couples, and teens. I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wright-State University, a Bachelor of Business Administration from The Ohio State University, and graduated from Centerville High School in Dayton, OH. My internship took place at South Community Behavioral Health. I am a member of the ACA & SAIGE.
With over twenty years of global leadership experience spanning marketing, entertainment, and consumer research, I bring a broad perspective to therapeutic work. My journey from consultant, general manager, and executive producer to licensed therapist has given me unique insight into relationship dynamics, world cultures, life transitions, and the steps necessary to create change and satisfaction.
I believe healing begins by understanding and honoring all parts of who you are. I find meaning in witnessing your evolution and growth. My role is to create a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood—never judged. Together, we’ll explore not just what has happened, but how to rewire your nervous system for calm, joy, and love.
My specialties include trauma (complex, chronic, acute, sexual, religious), anxiety, depression, anger, grief/loss, chronic pain, men’s issues, relationships, and career counseling. I offer in-person services in Dayton, along with select availability for video telehealth across Ohio.
When you’re ready to take the next step, contact me to schedule a free 15-minute consultation session, and begin your journey toward lasting transformation.
